Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit vacation.fyi (the "Site"), operated by Vacation.FYI in Toronto, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). We aim to follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. What we collect

• Information you choose to give the AI chat or voice assistant. Anything you type or say to the AI Travel Agent (for example destinations, dates or budget) is sent to the chat provider so it can reply. Some chat windows may also ask for your name, email or phone number before you start.
• Microphone audio. Only when you press and hold the mic in the voice assistant, and only after your browser asks for your permission.
• Emails you send us. If you write to Ravi.Amin@Vacation.FYI, we receive your email address and message.
• Mailing list sign-ups. If you join the AI Travel Agent waitlist, we collect your name, email, whether it is for your own trips or a travel business, the date and your IP address. This is emailed to us and kept in a private file on our web host so we can tell you when the product launches. You can ask to be removed at any time.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our host and the third-party services below receive standard data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring links.

The Site itself has no account system, and we do not take payments.

2. Third-party services on the Site

The Site embeds tools from other companies. When you use them, they process your information under their own privacy policies:

• Aminos AI (app.aminos.ai): the AI Travel Agent text chat.
• LouiseBot / PinkSwan (cdn.pinkswan.ch): the talking voice assistant.
• Magbot (login013.com): a chat support widget.
• Stay22 (stay22.com): the interactive accommodation map and affiliate links.
• Travelpayouts (tpembar.com): travel affiliate links.
• YouTube / Google: the video loads only after you click play.
• Google Fonts: the fonts used on the page.
• Booking sites: vacation.flightjab.com and book.vacation.fyi are run independently. Anything you enter there, including payment details, is covered by their own policies, not this one.

3. How the information is used

• To answer your travel questions through the AI chat and voice assistant.
• To reply to your emails.
• To email you about the AI Travel Agent launch, if you joined the mailing list and ticked the consent box.
• To keep the Site working and secure.
• To earn referral commissions when you book through partner links, which does not change your price.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Storage and transfers

Our third-party providers may store and process data outside Canada, including in the United States and Europe, where local laws may differ.

6. How long we keep it

We keep emails only as long as needed to answer you and meet legal obligations. Chat, voice and map data is kept by each provider under its own policy.

7. Your choices and rights

• You can use the Site without using the AI chat, the voice assistant or the map.
• You can refuse or remove microphone permission in your browser at any time.
• You can ask us to access, correct or delete information you sent us by emailing Ravi.Amin@Vacation.FYI.
• You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

8. Children

The Site is meant for adults planning travel and is not directed at anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
